the 2012 hollywood bowl schedule was announced (yesterday)
It’s not particularly mind-blowing, but I’m looking forward to Garrison Keiler, Animal Collective and The Sound of Music sing-along.
And correct me if I’m wrong (Do it! I dare you!), but this particular calendar generally fills in as the season gets closer, so there’s still hope for the Genesis reunion show I’ve been dreaming of.
(Have I ever told you about my first and all time best Hollywood Bowl experience? It involved a fortuitous run in with the man who ran the box office, four, free handwritten tickets, one parking spot behind the stage, a third row box, Devendra Bahnart, Gilberto Gil, a few joints, three bottles of wine, several sandwiches and two random dudes that I met during a Fleet Foxes show at the Echo the night before).
